Sculptural and eyeopening lighting

Tom Rossau is a Danish sculptural lighting brand, designs and produces beautiful lamps right in the middle of Copenhagen. Are you looking for unique, high-quality artisan lighting for your hospitality project, then you have a lot of options with Tom Rossau.

THE "WHY?"

Several clients told us: "You gotta have these lamps in the Merchants portfolio"

HANDMADE IN DENMARK

Attention to detail and flexibility

Tom’s work is driven by the intriguing relationship between geometry, materials, and natural and artificial light. To him, the essence of a lamp lies in its transformation when switched on; the design must hold its own in natural daylight, but the real magic happens when the shape and material is lit from within. A selfproclaimed light addict, Tom feels compelled to turn on the lights when entering a room, and is ever amazed by how atmospheres and objects are completely altered at the flick of a switch.

TIMELESS DESIGN

Good for the wallet and the world

All lights from Tom Rossau are works of art and will be beautiful to watch and behold for as long as any hotel is running.
We predict high resale prices on these pieces when one day they will be decommissioned from the hotel/restaurant.

PASSION FOR LIGHT

Award winning designer Tom Rossau

Award-winning, self-taught Danish designer Tom Rossau started his career in the basement of his parent’s house in Denmark. LEGO was the main companion to his vivid imagination. In the 90s, Tom picked up the thread where he’d left it some years before. He started to design and sew leather clothes and in 1997 he eventually opened a shop in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Since 2004, Tom has worked mainly with natural wood veneers. At first these lamps were only available from the old shop on Istedgade in Copenhagen, but in 2006 more models were introduced to a broader audience at Copenhagen Furniture Fair, where the TR7 received the Audience Favorite Award. In 2019 he won the Danish Design Award for a special computer cabinet looking like a lamp.
